Hi, I’m Brooke! I’m a photographer based in Austin, Texas, photographing families, couples, brands, and the people behind them.

I’ve always been drawn to making things. I paint, I’ve dabbled in music, I love working with my hands, and somewhere along the way I picked up a camera and never really put it back down.

What I love most about photography is people. The unique little dynamics of a family, the way someone lights up when they talk about something they care about, the in-between moments you couldn’t plan if you tried. I want my photographs to feel like the people in them, not just look beautiful.

My work is a mix of digital and 35mm film, with a documentary approach and enough direction that you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. I’m always looking for real emotion, movement, good light, and the small details that make something feel like yours.

Outside of families and couples, I photograph brands I care about and believe in — especially ones rooted in health and purpose.

Outside of photography, I’m usually making a mess in the kitchen (trying a new recipe with 46 steps), finding a cool little austin trail, making a latte, or hanging out with my husband Grayson and our mini Aussie, Rocky. I love a good hike, old things, painting, a slow morning, and pretty much anything that gives me an excuse to be curious or learn something new.

At the end of the day, I’m just really curious about people and the lives they’re building. Getting invited in to photograph a little piece of that is pretty dang cool.
