Emorie & Collin welcoming their beautiful baby boy, Owen Gray.


We paused the session a few times because this little boy wanted to eat! I was just happy to be there and didn't mind the snack breaks. We simply followed Owen's lead and took our sweet time.


We bounced from the nursery, to their bedroom, to the couch, and out onto the front porch. We also had to include Collin's cowboy hat for a few photos. Incorporating little details like this help tell part of your family's story and make the images feel more personal.


Taken on a mix of digital and 35mm film, I really love the deep blues and greens that are brought out by their home and the natural light shining in through the windows. It had just rained outside, revealing a peek of a rainbow for a few short seconds as I was capturing Emorie and Owen by the window. A "heaven wink", my Mama calls it.
